BORONGAN CITY — Director General Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar, chief of the Philippine National Police (PNP) led the inauguration of the new Eastern Samar pOLICE Provincial Office (ESPPO) on July 22 at Camp Asidillo, Brgy. Alang-Alanga, this city.

The ceremony began with a ribbon cutting, followed by the unveiling of the marker by Police Gen. Eleazar, Congresswoman Ma. Fe R. Abunda, Governor Ben P. Evardone, Vice-Governor Maria Caridad Sison Goteesan, and witnessed by provincial and PNP officials.

According to Engr. Domcelio M. Natividad, assistant district engineer of DPWH E. Samar, the building is under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2020 of the DPWH with appropriation cost of P25-M.

This building is complete with facilities such as: CCTV, fire alarm, air conditioning unit, water pumping system, separate transformer, and standby generator, he added.

This will provide a presentable and decent workplace to help boost the morale of the men and women of PNP.

In his speech during the inauguration, Police General Eleazar thanked the local government unit of Eastern Samar for the untiring support to the local PNP.

“Rest assured, Representative Abunda and Governor Evardone that the PNP personnel in return will provide the public with the quality services they rightfully deserve,” Eleazar said.

The project started in February 2020 and was finished on April 9.
